Woman Finds Large Snake In Car While Driving On CT Highway: Police
A state trooper removed the slithering intruder, according to state police.

MONTVILLE, CT — Snakes slithering inside a moving vehicle is the plot of a Hollywood thriller, “Snakes on a Plane.” Now imagine finding a large snake in your vehicle while you are cruising down the highway.
A woman driving along Route 2 near Foxwoods resort casino Tuesday afternoon found a large snake loose in her car, according to state police.
The woman called police for help with the intruder.

A state trooper from Troop E in Montville, Trooper First Class Charles Workman, came to her aid.
“TFC Workman was able to wrangle the unwanted hitchhiker from the caller's car despite the slippery nature of the accused,” state police said, in a Facebook post on the incident.

“Our troopers at Troop E never know what type of call their next one is going to be,” police said.
The troop’s Facebook post garnered more than 300 posts from readers as of Wednesday morning.
One commenter, Debbie Brown Hudd, wrote, “I would have wrecked my car and then had a heart attack!”

While some Facebook commenters identified the snake as a non-venomous Eastern Rat Snake, a state police spokesman said the snake is “unidentified.”
“The method of entry into the vehicle is unknown,” the spokesman said.
