Wreck at Route 82-163 Intersection Results in Minor Injuries

Dog, already injured earlier in the day, gets help from Oakdale Fire Company

Oakdale Fire Company responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of routes 82 and 163 this afternoon. Drivers reported only minor injuries, and, according to Montville Police, refused medial treatment. The dog in the photograph had been hit by a car earlier in the day. His owners took him to the vet, where, according to Oakdale Fire Chief Gary Murphy, he was diagnosed with a sprained or strained leg, and given medication. When the wreck happened, the dog was thrown and had to be helped from the car by fire personnel. Murphy said it appeared that the dog would be OK.
