• CT Fire Chief Placed on Leave, Executive Board Chair Says (firefighternation.com) — Mystic’s fire chief and fire marshal, Christopher Clarkin, has been placed on administrative leave, with Deputy Chief Bradley Bernier now serving as acting chief and acting fire marshal. Officials are not disclosing the reason, citing a personnel matter, and emphasize that the Mystic Fire District operates independently from the Town of Stonington.
