2020 Merit Badge Madness Event Canceled

For the Scouts that were planning on attending the 2020 Merit Badge Madness on March 21st:

I am writing to let you know that The Connecticut Rivers Council and Mattabessett Trail District have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Merit Badge Madness Event that was scheduled for March 21 due to the Covid-19 virus. With over 750 Scouts, Scouters, and Volunteers that would have been attending we are following the guidance from public health officials to cancel the event. Unfortunately we will not be rescheduling at this point.

While I am very disappointed that we have to cancel the event this year we must keep in mind that the safety of all Scouts, Leaders, Merit Badge Counselors, & Staff is the most important thing.
The Connecticut Rivers Council Office will processing refunds.
