8 Bulk Trash Options Studied In Naugatuck
Officials outlined eight possible ways to offer bulk trash solutions in Naugatuck.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck continues to move closer to adopting some form of a bulk trash program.
Assistant to the Public Works Director Sandra Lucas-Ribeiro gave an update on the Bulk
Trash Issue at a recent town meeting. She discussed the options she researched regarding bulk trash removal.
The options are: 1.) Town wide curbside bulk pickup 2.) Resident scheduled curbside bulk pickup 3.) Free bulk trash days at the recycling center 4.) Free disposal voucher for each property 5.) Collecting bulk trash at the transfer station during the winter months 6.) Open the transfer station on additional days 7.) Open the transfer station six days a week for bulk trash during the winter months and 8.) Closing later one day per week.

She discussed the pros and cons as well as the labor needed and the cost for each option. No decision was made yet regarding bulk trash.
