OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, “the Kate”, welcomes Lee DeWyze on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 7:30 pm for an evening of exceptional original Americana, pop and folk songs, accompanied by his meticulous guitar playing.
Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Chicago, Lee DeWyze's journey into the spotlight began at a young age, honing his craft in his local scene, before catapulting to fame as the winner of American Idol's Season 9. Eager to showcase his identity as a songwriter post-American Idol, Lee embarked on a creative journey that led to the release of his debut album, "Frames." His music soon found its way into the hearts of audiences worldwide, with one of his songs making its debut in the popular series "The Walking Dead," opening doors into the world of licensing and synchronization, and introducing his music to a whole new audience.
