• 2026 July 4 Fireworks Guide For Naugatuck (patch.com) — Naugatuck residents can look forward to a full slate of July 4, 2026 festivities, including an evening festival in town with music, food, vendors, and fireworks at 9 p.m. The guide also highlights nearby fireworks and America 250 celebrations in Waterbury, Derby-Shelton, New Haven, Trumbull, and Orange, plus national semiquincentennial events planned across the country.    

• Naugatuck Awarded State Grant For Downtown Pedestrian Connectivity, Safety Improvements (patch.com) — Naugatuck is getting $846,400 from the state to upgrade downtown pedestrian connectivity and safety, part of a larger $10.8 million grant package for 17 Connecticut communities. The money, from the Community Connectivity Grant Program, must be used for construction and projects are expected to be finished within three years, meaning visible changes for walkers and cyclists around the borough’s center.
