Join in at the 2019 Women’s Conference and sign up for “So, What’s In Your Gucci?: The Emotional Baggage Women Carry A Catholic Therapist’s Perspective on Healing from Shame, Anxiety, and Depression,” presented by Debra Federico, LMFT.

This talk will explore shame, anxiety, and depression (“SAD”) examples of emotional baggage which stifle our Godgiven right to live freely. This talk will also examine the Old and New Testaments to uncover cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) directly from Scripture, which inspire healing from the “SAD” emotional baggage held onto by modern Catholic women.

Our keynote speaker will be Sarah Hart, one of the leading figures in contemporary Roman Catholic music today. Her songs of faith have touched the lives of millions. Originally from Lancaster, OH, she has a degree in music from Ohio State University. Now based in Nashville, she is on the road a good part of the year juggling songwriting, recording, concerts, and a full events schedule. Sarah’s songs are part of the common worship experience of Roman Catholics in the United States: worshippers might recognize “Go In Peace,” “You Alone,” “Sweet Redeemer,” among others. Her signature blend of folk, pop, and rock delights listeners of every age. She boasts nine albums as a solo artist, including Til the Song is Sung (her latest) and Above Earth’s Lamentation. She often co-writes with authors like Curtis Stephan, Steve Angrisano, and Jesse Manibusan. Her songs have been covered by Amy Grant, Celtic Women, Matt Maher, Jason Crabb, and The Newsboys. Amy Grant’s recording of Sarah’s “Better Than A Hallelujah” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Song. In October of 2013, Sarah was invited to perform for Pope Francis and a crowd of 150,000 people in Saint Peter’s Square. Sarah’s dynamic energy, sense of humor, and deep faith make her concerts, keynote presentations, and retreats all unforgettable experiences. She especially enjoys exploring topics around women’s ministry and women’s spirituality.
