Archdiocese To Host Social Justice Dinner & Awards
The Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford hosts the event; tickets are $75 or $650 for a table of ten.

Hartford, CT - The Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford will hold a Social Justice Dinner and Awards celebration on Tuesday, October 22 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT, beginning with a reception at 5 pm; Dinner and program begin at 6 p.m.
Keynote speaker Kerry Robinson will present “Justice, Recovery and Reform in the Catholic Church”. Robinson is the Global Ambassador of Leadership Roundtable and a member of the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities and FADICA. She is the prize-winning author of Imagining Abundance: Fundraising, Philanthropy and a Spiritual Call to Service and the founding editor of The Catholic Funding Guide: A Directory of Resources for Catholic Activities. Robinson serves as a Director for the Hartford Bishops’ Foundation.
Deacon Art Miller will receive the Most. Rev. Donnelly Award to an individual. Author, activist, homilist, and educator, Deacon Miller is known for his inspiring homilies and is a frequent speaker at area retreat centers. His motto is: “If God were to give us an 11th commandment, it would be ‘Thou shall not be a bystander.’”

Sister Ruth Rosenbaum, TC, PhD, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Center for Reflection, Education and Action (CREA), will accept the organization award. For the past 23 years, CREA has been working in the areas of corporate responsibility including socially responsible investing, and sustainable communities.
The North American Martyrs Parish will receive the Dr. Charlie Schlegel Award for Cooperative Parish Sharing for their Social Justice and Hispanic Ministry.
