Internationally Renowned Dance Company BODYTRAFFIC Takes the Stage at Fairfield University’s Quick Center

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (February 10, 2026)— Fairfield University invites the community to experience a powerful evening of contemporary dance when BODYTRAFFIC, an internationally acclaimed Los Angeles-based dance company, performs at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on Friday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m.
BODYTRAFFIC is known for inspiring audiences around the globe to simply love dance. Led by artistic director Tina Finkelman Berkett, the company is not driven by a single choreographic voice. Instead, it supports both established and emerging choreographers and embraces a diverse range of styles and perspectives that tell vital stories.

A Program Inspired by 20th-Century Musical Icons

The BODYTRAFFIC program planned for the Quick Center draws inspiration from powerhouse musicians of the 20th century. The evening includes:

• Two pieces choreographed by Trey McIntire, one set to music by soul-singing icon Etta James, and the other featuring the music of Buddy Holly, whose brief but influential career helped shape rock and roll.
• “I Forgot The Start”, choreographed by Matthew Neenan, a work that balances joy and grief to illuminate the relentlessness of hope. The piece features music by Sinéad O’Connor, Broken Social Scene, and Sufjan Stevens, among others.
