Southbury Burglary Suspect Charged: Police
Naugatuck police said a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's was allegedly involved in a burglary in Southbury.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A vehicle matching the description of one allegedly involved in a burglary in Southbury ended up in Naugatuck and was stopped in Waterbury, Naugatuck police said.
Naugatuck police said on May 11 officers were advised by Connecticut State Police that they were trying to locate a silver Ford that had been involved in a burglary in Southbury. Naugatuck officers located a vehicle matching that description near Spring Street and Porter Avenue, police said.
After the vehicle was stopped and police officers approached the car, it fled into Waterbury where it was stopped, police said. Police said Lee Jupina, 51, of Elmwood in Waterbury is charged with disobeying the signal of an officer: elude/attempt to escape, and reckless driving.

Troop A in Southbury charged Jupina with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief. He was given a $75,000 bond.
