Composer David Haas Releases New Lyrics to "We Will Rise Again"

Religious composer David Haas has written new lyrics for his iconic composition "We Will Rise Again" and shared the new version via his Facebook page.

For all of you singers out there – especially choir members - cantors – but for ALL of us who love to sing, and who are weeping and grieving over this new reality that we are facing. DH (Feel free to "share" and use as you find helpful)

WE WILL SING AGAIN
New words by David Haas
(sung to the melody of his song, “We Will Rise Again”)

Verse One:
Like a song, I will find you, I will sing deep in your heart.
I will lead you to a future; I will never go away.

REFRAIN:
We will hope and not be hindered;
For our song will still be there.
And we will find a new music;
We will sing again.

Verse Two:
Like a psalm, I will pray in you, I will be the cry you seek.
My story will be new again, forever in your heart.

Verse Three:
Like a canticle, I’ll proclaim to you, new hope for all the world;
To remain in you and speak forth from you, and magnify your soul.

Verse Four:
Like a new hymn re-created, you will find the breath to sing.
And no longer will you be afraid, for a new song will begin.
