Jurassic Park Roars to Life in Concert with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra

WATERBURY, CT – Audiences will experience the thrill of one of cinema’s most iconic films like never before when Jurassic Park comes to the big screen accompanied live by the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, March 14, at the historic Palace Theater.

This special presentation features Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster film projected in high definition while the orchestra performs John Williams’ legendary score live, perfectly synchronized to the action on screen. From the wonder of the park’s first reveal to the pulse-pounding drama of its most suspenseful moments, the live orchestra elevates the film into a powerful, immersive concert experience.

Leif Bjaland, Music Director of the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, shared his excitement: “Jurassic Park is more than a movie — it’s a cultural phenomenon. This extraordinary event celebrates the ongoing partnership of the Palace Theater and the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. These two organizations share a commitment to improving quality of life in Northwestern Connecticut by connecting the community through arts and providing arts access and education to residents of Greater Waterbury.
As a special treat, right before the second half of the film, students from Bravo Waterbury!, the Waterbury Symphony’s intensive after school music education program at Children’s Community School and Brass City Charter School will perform live, singing Ordinary by Alex Warren.
