CT's Paranormal & True Crimes Convention Announced

The haunted weekend event will feature special guests, seminars, panels, speakers, vendors, exhibits, a film festival, and much more.

Press release

Waterbury CT: For years there have been ghost sightings, ghost hunters, and unexplained occurrences. Certain states in the U.S. have been acknowledged as being very “haunted.” Connecticut is certainly among the most haunted states, and, over the past few years, interest in the paranormal has been growing. One of the reasons is the proliferation of world-class paranormal conventions in the state.

In 2021, Charles F. Rosenay!!! was one of the producers of Connecticut’s very first paranormal convention, ParaConn, and he has announced that the fifth annual event will be returning to the state, but in a brand-new location – and with a newly-added theme.

The supernatural happenings don’t stop there. Rosenay!!! and his partner, Thomas Patrick Gormley, known collectively as “The Shaman and The Showman LLC,” are branching out to present many more events that revolve around the supernatural. On April 4 and 5, the duo are hosting an encore paranormal investigation at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven, billed as “Tracks of Terror: The Trolley Ghost Hunt.” It is a two-night adventure event consisting of a group dinner, a paranormal class, an introduction to ghost-hunting equipment, and a hands-on ghost hunt which includes the crossing over of “Billy” and tragic history of the child who was killed in a trolley accident and may still be haunting the tracks.

On Sunday, July 27, they are producing the “CT Summer Psychic Fairfest” at the Dudleytown Brewing Company in Windsor, CT, plus other area activities. Outside of Connecticut, “The Salem Paranormal and Horror Convention” is set to return to Salem State University in Salem, MA November 15-16.

All these events are much smaller in scale than ParaConn V, which is a spooky smorgasbord of paranormal guests, readers, horror elements, and 75 vendors, psychics, and authors. For the first time ever, there will be the True Crimes component.

Connecticut’s ParaConn V takes place Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13 from 11am-6pm at the fully air-conditioned Crosby H.S., 300 Pierpont Road, in Waterbury, CT. Past shows have sold out. Parking is free. Food trucks/refreshments will be available. Advance tickets are now on sale for only $19.99 from https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/para-con/ParaConnV2025.
The website for Connecticut’s original Paranormal Convention is www.ParaConn.org. For further information call (203) 795-4737 or email CTParaConn@gmail.com.

May the spirits be with you.
