Dad, Naugatuck EMS & Police Help Deliver Twins

The births occurred early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Twins were born in Naugatuck early Wednesday, but a local hospital was not involved until after the deliveries. Instead, a dad, Naugatuck Emergency Medical Services personnel and members of the police department did the honors.

The mother and both children, nicknamed Baby A and Baby B, are now at a local hospital and are doing well, according to a post on the Naugatuck EMS Facebook page.

EMS and police were called to the scene of "a possible imminent delivery of twins" involving parents Rich Allen and Jennifer Marie Atchison.
