Downtown Naugatuck Will Become Safer For Pedestrians, Bicyclists
A $400,000 state grant will lead to safety upgrades downtown. Here is what you can expect.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A nearly $400,000 state grant will help improve safety for both pedestrians and bicyclists downtown, the Republican-American reports.
The funds will be used to improve and fix existing sidewalks and crosswalks, and also adding new sidewalks and bike lanes. Crosswalks will also become ADA compliant too. Work could begin next summer and will include repaving of several downtown roads.
Naugatuck has to pay the design costs, which will run about $46,000.
