Fight Breaks Out At Naugatuck Park, Police Seek ID: PD
Police also said there will be an increased police presence at the park that will include extra foot patrols.
NAUGATUCK, CT β Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of instigating a fight Tuesday night at Linden Park.
In a Facebook post, police said they received reports around 10 p.m. of a fight in the skate park area of Linden Park.
When police arrived there was no physical altercation taking place, however teens at the park told officers two adults had been fighting there, one of whom left before officers arrived, according to police.

Initial reports indicated a knife may been used in the fight, however officers determined no weapons were involved, police said.
According to police, the incident was determined to be "fueled by heavy drinking" and minor injuries were reported. All parties involved were issued infractions charging them with creating a public disturbance.

Additionally, police are actively seeking a man named "Alex" who was wearing a neon yellow t-shirt and is believed to have instigated the fight. (A picture of the man can be viewed here.)

"We ask for the publicβs assistance in complying with park regulations, specifically on preventing alcohol consumption and enforcing park hours," police said on Facebook. "We ask those with close ties to the youth in the community to ensure that they aware of the regulations, avoid alcohol use and supervise their use of the park."
Police also noted the department remains "committed to maintaining the safety and well-being of the community and will take necessary measures to address and prevent" similar incidents in the future.
