Fire Breaks Out At Century-Old Building In Naugatuck: FD
Fire officials said flames were seen coming from a second floor apartment at the building, built in 1880, and one occupant was injured.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A fire broke out late Thursday night at a century-old building in Naugatuck and one occupant was injured, according to fire officials.
In a news release posted to Facebook, fire officials said crews responded to a structure fire at a 14-bedroom, multi-family home on Pond Street around 11:45 p.m.
When crews arrived at the building, built in 1880, flames could be seen coming from a second floor apartment and front porch and extending up the outside of the structure, officials said.

Crews from Waterbury, Beacon Hose and Prospect fire departments were called to assist firefighters while Middlebury and Bethany fire departments provided station coverage in Naugatuck, officials said.
One person rescued from the building suffered burns and smoke inhalation, according to fire officials.
