No injuries were reported in the Tuesday morning fire.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A tenant at the George B. Lewis housing complex in Naugatuck had to be rescued by police Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in the apartment's kitchen, according to fire officials.
Officers saw smoke from the apartment when they arrived at the 9:30 a.m. fire on Weid Drive, and removed the single person in the apartment, who fire officials said "was unable to self-rescue."
The fire was considered to be small in nature and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
