Fugitive Wanted In El Salvador Murder Case Captured In Waterbury: FBI
The El Salvador national is wanted in connection with the slaying of a pastor, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

WATERBURY, CT — An El Salvador national wanted for the murder of a pastor in the Central American country was captured in Waterbury Tuesday, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The FBI arrested Danny Antonio Granados-Garcia, who it described as a suspected member of the MS-13 foreign terrorist organization.
Granados-Garcia has been identified as a fugitive with an active El Salvadorian arrest warrant and an INTERPOL blue notice for aggravated homicide, the FBI said.

The victim was a pastor and a relative of an El Salvadorian police officer, according to the FBI, which announced the arrest on its Facebook page.
Granados-Garcia was taken into custody without incident. He has been turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and he will be returned to El Salvador to face pending charges.

“MS-13 members are notorious for their brutality, violence, and intimidation,” said FBI New Haven Special Agent In Charge P.J. O’Brien.
“No matter how committed they are to creating chaos in our communities, the FBI and our law enforcement partners remain steadfast in our commitment to relentlessly pursue members and associates of MS-13 and obtain justice for the victims of their crimes,” O’Brien added.
