NAUGATUCK, CT — Police say they are investigating a theft from Stop & Shop earlier this month. On Feb. 5 a woman is accused of stealing $216.94 worth of Tide pods, meats, seafood and other groceries, police said.

The woman began unloading her cart into an unknown vehicle (possibly a blue 4 door Saturn). An employee was outside and the woman became nervous and left, police said.

"Meats, seafood and other groceries items were left behind in cart. Cart pusher stated he observed a male assisting her unload the cart and was the operator of the vehicle," police said.
