$2,700 Raised To Help Fund Lucky's Surgery: UPDATE
Lucky came to Naugatuck Animal Control severely abused and needs life-saving surgery.

UPDATE: Naugatuck Animal Control officials say that as of 5 p.m. Monday, more than $2,700 has been raised from the community.
"We, Animal Control Officers / Naugatuck Police Department are grateful to the citizens, businesses and community organizations, to include our neighboring towns, that have helped in this effort. We are confident that Lucky will have her surgery...."
In another update, animal control says Lucky may have surgery as early as Wednesday or by the end of this week.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Animal Control continues to raise funds for a dog named Lucky that needs surgery after being severely abused, local officials say.
"Lucky here has had a tough 10 years and is need of our help! Lucky was abused and needs surgery for tumors in her belly and a hole in the roof of her mouth. Our Naugatuck Animal Control has been working diligently to get Lucky the medical care she has needed for so long.

"Any donations from our community to help with Lucky’s surgery please contact Naugatuck Veterinary Hospital 203-723-7187. Any amount is appreciated, let’s get little Lucky healthy for the holidays so she can find her furever home!" Naugatuck Animal Control says.
Any donations can be sent to: "Naugatuck Veterinary Hospital - 562B Rubber Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770." Please specify that the donation is for Lucky.
