NAUGATUCK, CT β€” Two men accused of forcing their way into a Naugatuck home and assaulting another man were arrested this week, according to police.

In a news release, police said officers were called to a Ridge Road home Monday after two men had entered the home and assaulted another man.

When officers arrived, they found evidence of forced entry. The resident sustained minor injuries and declined medical transportation, police said.

After further investigation, police determined two men who did not live at the home had forced their way inside over an ongoing domestic dispute, according to police.

The men were identified as Amjid Khan, 38, and Sher Ali Khan, 51, both of New Britain, and later arrested by Naugatuck police with assistance from New Britain police.

Both men charged with home invasion, three counts of risk of injury to a child, second-degree threatening, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Both men were held on a $250,000 bond and arraigned in court Tuesday, according to police.
