Lake Compounce Welcomes New General Manager Daniel LLanas

LLanas Brings Decades of Theme Park, Water Park, and Hospitality Experience to the Official Park of Family Fun

Bristol, CT (August 27, 2026) – Lake Compounce, America’s First Amusement Park, today announced the appointment of Daniel LLanas as General Manager of Lake Compounce Amusement & Water Park.

Daniel brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the theme park, water park and destination-attraction industry to his new role, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence, revenue growth, guest satisfaction and team performance.

Most recently, Daniel served as Director of Admissions for Aquaventure World at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai, where he led admissions and guest-arrival operations for more than two million guests annually across three major attractions.

Prior to joining Atlantis, Daniel spent more than a decade in leadership roles with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, including serving as Vice President of Merchandise for SeaWorld and Aquatica San Antonio, as well as holding senior operations positions across multiple parks.

As General Manager, Daniel will lead the Lake Compounce team and oversee the park’s overall operations, guest experience, financial performance, team development and continued growth. As he steps into the role, he will focus on continuing to build upon the legacy of Lake Compounce, providing families from New England and beyond a place where they can continue to make memories worth repeating.

“I’m excited to join the Lake Compounce team and the Herschend family as my family and I make Connecticut our new home,” said General Manager Daniel LLanas. “Lake Compounce has such a rich history and an incredible connection to generations of families, and I’m looking forward to working alongside the team to build on that legacy.”

Lake Compounce Amusement & Water Park offers more than 50 rides and attractions, including award-winning roller coasters, family attractions and Connecticut’s Largest Water Park, Crocodile Cove. The park is home to iconic attractions including Boulder Dash, Phobia, Venus Vortex and Zoomerang, providing guests with experiences for the entire family.

Guests can make the most of the final days of summer at Crocodile Cove water park, open through Sept. 7. The park will then welcome back the thrills and chills of its day to night fall event, Phantom Fall Fest beginning September 19, offering guests a spooky Halloween experience select dates through November 1.
