Man Stole From Business, Hits Employee With Car: Naugatuck PD
The accused was charged on a warrant.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A New Milford man is accused of stealing from a Naugatuck business and when trying to flee the scene he hit an employee with his car, police said. On April 30, Marc Schaufler, 51, of Willow Springs in New Milford was charged on a warrant.
The warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on March 6 at Cumberland Farms, police said. The accused stole merchandise from the store and when confronted by an employee he dropped the goods and left the store, police said.
The employee followed Schaufler out of the store and when the accused was leaving in his vehicle he ended up striking the employee, police said. The employee was not injured, police said. Schaufler drove off, police said, and was later arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny and reckless driving.
