Man Who Drowned At Reservoir In Waterbury Identified: Reports

The man died after drowning in the reservoir on Monday, according to reports.

WATERBURY, CT — Jamie Ward, 41, of Waterbury, has been identified as the man who drowned at East Mountain Reservoir in Waterbury on Monday, according to multiple reports, including FOX 61.

WTNH News 8 reports an investigation found that Ward and a woman were swimming in the reservoir, and he went below the water and didn’t return to the surface. His body was recovered after crews searched the area for about half an hour.

The state Chief Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death as an accidental drowning, according to the Hartford Courant.
