A Message of Support from Connecticut Science Center

Dear Friends of the Connecticut Science Center,

The Connecticut Science Center stands together with our family of employees and the community we serve at this time of crisis. Our society is beset by a devastating pre-existing condition called racism. Racism and its effects concentrate the pain of other afflictions, from violence and discrimination to the Coronavirus and economic distress, disproportionately in black communities. Ending racism must be about ending inequities of all kinds. We believe in the power of science to heal and to inform and foster systemic change. We strive for greater equity in our own work. We are unrelenting in our efforts to inspire our society to embrace and translate scientifically driven solutions into intelligent policy and collective and individual action for a better, more just world for all people.
