Naugatuck Fire Department Names New Assistant Chief
He has won numerous awards during his career including the 2019 American Legion CT FF of the Year.

Congratulations to Walter Seaman on his promotion to Asst. Chief of the Naugatuck Fire Dept. last night. Asst Chief Seaman started his career at the NFD in Sept. 2008 and has held the ranks of Asst. Mechanic, Lieutenant and Captain.
Asst. Chief Seaman has won numerous awards during his career including the 2019 American Legion CT FF of the Year, several unit citations and Special Fire Commission Recognition for his coordination of the live fire training at the old Vinny's Pizza building.

He is also the training coordinator with Naugatuck's C.E.R.T, and a member of Naugatuck's Emergency Management Advisory Council.
Walter was recently elected as the Chairman of the Plymouth Board of Education.
