Naugatuck Goes After Litterers With New Surveillance System
The borough reportedly is testing a new camera system in Linden Park.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck is installing a camera surveillance system in Linden Park to catch people who litter and illegally dump refuse, the Republican-American reported.
The camera system will cost the borough just under $7,000, and will read license plates, among other surveillance. Footage will be stored to allow police officers to view it if a littering incident occurs.
Linden Park is one of about a half-dozen areas around the borough that have been targets for illegal dumping.
