Naugatuck High School Senior Makes a Big Difference
Emily Bottinick, 17, has helped ensure future students in wheelchairs have better access at Naugatuck High School.

Emily Bottinick, a 17-year-old Naugatuck High School student, has truly made a difference that will improve the lives of future students who utilize a wheelchair.
Emily, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, recently made an impression on the committee overseeing the $81 million Naugatuck High School renovation project, according to the Republican-American’s Paul Singley.
Emily has expressed concerns about a lack of handicap accessibility at the high school, and committee members agreed to install doors that are power-assisted with push-button access at four locations in the building, and additional sidewalk ramps, the Rep-Am reports.
