In one of the most dramatic and touching moments of last night’s Naugatuck PD Awards Ceremony, Watertown Officer Frank Esposito embraced Naugatuck Officer Danielle Parady on stage after Officer Esposito received the Medal for Meritorious service (see photo). Officer Esposito received the award for his efforts almost two years ago when he found Officer Parady laying outside her police cruiser in the parking lot of the Naugatuck Walmart.
Officer Parady suffered a medical condition and was only able to put out a partial call for assistance before blacking out. All on duty Naugatuck officers began searching for Officer Parady based on the partial information she provided, and moments later she was discovered by Officer Esposito who was off duty. Officer Esposito dialed 911 and provided medical assistance to Officer Parady, utilizing her medical bag and equipment located in the trunk of her cruiser until police and other emergency units arrived.
