Naugatuck Man Accused of Slashing an Acquaintance With a Knife
The victim incurred non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Early Friday at approximately 1:20 a.m. Naugatuck Police responded to 1277 Rubber Avenue for an assault between acquaintances in which one of the subjects slashed the other in the face with a folding knife, police said in a release.
Investigating officers determiner that the subjects involved were driving up Rubber Avenue when they stopped in the parking lot of Stop and Shop, police said. The subjects then became involved in an argument during which one of the subjects cut the other.
The victim was hospitalized but did not suffer life threatening injuries, police said. The accused subject was identified as Richard Ancefsky, 49.

Ancefsky was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and breach of peace. He was held overnight.
