NAUGATUCK, CT — When Wendy's abruptly pulled out of a proposed deal to open at 112 Bridge Street there was some disappointment expressed in the Borough.

But at a recent Board of Mayor and Burgesses meeting, Mayor Pete Hess offered residents hope that better projects and days are on the horizon.

According to meeting minutes, Hess said, "In regards to Wendy’s, every deal has hills and valleys. He is currently working on twenty to twenty-five projects larger than Wendy’s Restaurant. There is a strong interest and demand for projects in the borough. All projects have some type of issue, land use issues, financing issues. He is focusing on increasing the Grand List."
