NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police announced this week the retirement of three members of the department with a combined total of 60 years of experience serving the borough.

In a Facebook post, police said detectives Kevin Zainc and Robert O' Donnell and Officer Bryan Coney gave their farewell radio transmissions Monday surrounded by friends, family and colleagues, officially marking their retirement.

According to police, each officer has held numerous roles within the department, including field training officer, evidence officer, K9 handler, court liaison, administrative officer and detective.

"We thank them, and their families, for their dedicated service to our community," police said on Facebook. "No matter where life takes them from here, it is our hope they will stay safe, rest, relax and enjoy time with their families, they've earned it!"
