Naugatuck Police: Cashier Detains Suspect But the Accused Fights Back and Resists When Police Arrive
Police say a cashier caught the suspect stealing and was able to restrain him, but he fought back and resisted when police arrived.

Naugatuck police say a Mobil gas station cashier was able to restrain an individual who was allegedly attempting to steal several items from the business.
But the suspect began fighting back, and continued to resist, even when police officers arrived, and was only subdued after an officer used a taser, police said Tuesday.
The incident occurred on March 3 at the Mobil Gas Station at 282 South Main Street.

During an altercation one of the officers used a taser to make Parent comply, police said.
Once he was in custody, police found several items from the store and an opiate narcotic, police said.
Parent was charged with breach of peace, interfering with an officer, sixth-degree larceny, third-degree assault, and possession of a controlled substance.
