Naugatuck police say Antonio Oliveira, 53, of Main Street in Waterbury is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Police said at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Maple Street.
During the investigation it was determined that Oliveira was driving under the influence of alcohol.
