Naugatuck Police Honored By Staff And Students

Yesterday, June 13th, Officer Americo Tavares was honored by the students and staff of one of our stellar Borough schools, Western Elementary.

Our Officers "adopt" a school and frequently visit these schools throughout the year. Officer Tavares adopted Western and Andrew Avenue Elementary Schools and the footprint he left behind on the students and staff was sincere and heartfelt.

During the presentation the students thanked Officer Tavares for his service and wished him well on his upcoming retirement.
