Police are asking for the community's help in an ongoing investigation into reports of shots fired this week in Naugatuck.
NAUGATUCK, CT β Police are asking for the community's help in an ongoing investigation into reports of shots fired this week in Naugatuck.
In a news release, police said officers responded to a call from a concerned resident Tuesday around 10 p.m. reporting the sound of gunshots in the area of May Street and Bird Road.
After further investigation, officers confirmed gunfire had occurred in the area. No injuries were reported, according to police.

"The safety of our community remains our priority," police said in a news release, "and to aid in this effort, we are appealing to the public for any information related to this incident, regardless of how insignificant it may seem."
