Naugatuck School Intruder Drill Becomes Real Lockdown: PD
Police and others happened to be at the school conducting a drill when an intruder alarm was activated.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police and others were conducting an emergency intruder drill at Naugatuck High School Wednesday morning when an intruder alarm that was not part of the drill was activated, according to police.
Police and others were getting ready for the 10:40 a.m. drill when the intruder alarm in the Child Care unit was activated at the school, said Lt. Bryan Cammarata, police spokesman.
The school was placed into lockdown as police cleared the school.

"It was determined during this investigation that the intruder entry was a false alarm and the lockdown was lifted at approximately 10:55 a.m.," Cammarata said.
The planned drill was cancelled.
