Naugatuck Woman Punched Pregnant Woman: Police

Naugatuck police say an argument at a home escalated and led to charges.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police say a local woman allegedly punched a pregnant woman during an argument.

Police said at 7:47 a.m. on Oct. 11 officers responded to an Irving Street residence for an assault.

Heather Ford, 25, of Irving Street, arrived at the victim's house and began to argue with her, police said. During an argument Ford allegedly punched the victim who is pregnant, police said.

Both Ford and the victim are known to each other, police said.

Ford is charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault on a pregnant person. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
