Naugatuck's 2017 4th Of July Fireworks Schedule Released

The popular event is coming up soon.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Park & Recreation Department is planning the annual July Fireworks Celebration. This year’s celebration will begin at 6 p.m on Monday, July 3, 2017 on Old Firehouse Road, downtown Naugatuck, and will include entertainment, food, and a variety of family oriented activities. The evening will be culminated by a giant fireworks display at 9:15 P.M

Rain date is Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

"We are all counting the days until our Independence Day celebration being held Monday July 3rd from 6pm to 10pm!," Mayor Pete Hess said. "Come enjoy the festivities as we gather together at Old Firehouse Road to watch the fireworks. Any interested vendors are welcome to participate for a fee of $100.00.

Officials also said donations are still being accepted. "Please consider contributing this year or perhaps being a major sponsor of the event with a contribution of $250.00 or more. The names of major sponsors will be displayed during the festivities and recognized in the local news media," town officials posted. "Please mail in your contribution or make it in person at the Naugatuck Public Works Dept., 246 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck. Checks should be made payable to the Fourth of July Fund. "
