Annette was born September 29, 1938 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Clarence (her best friend) and Alice (Deschene) Grenier. She was a graduate of St. Anne’s School & Waterbury Catholic High School, where she was a straight “A” student. Annette was married in 1957 to the love of her life Ray and over the next 10 years they had 4 children, who she loved and cherished for her whole life. In the 70’s Annette re-entered the workforce as a part time teller for the former Colonial Bank and Trust and over the next 25 years she rose to the level of bank officer and bank manager. Annette always worked hard for her hometown of Waterbury, whether it was marching for environmental issues or writing letters to the editor when she saw things that concerned her.

While working at the bank Annette earned her real estate license, volunteered with adult literacy programs and was a member of several investment clubs. Annette always loved working and after retirement she worked several other jobs including working at the Harold Leever Cancer Center, Mary Jane Barlow Temp Service and the Children's Community Center in Waterbury. Annette was an avid reader, writer, card player who especially loved playing Mahjong, with her friends. Ray and Annette loved traveling the country and especially enjoyed winters in Boynton Beach, Florida and yearly family trips to Ogunquit, Maine. Annette found her greatest joy being surrounded by husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Annette’s family and faith were everything to her and she will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love her.
