Obituary: Lawrence G. Bonczek, 72, of Tolland

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck.

TOLLAND - Lawrence G. Bonczek, 72, of Tolland, formerly of Naugatuck, died peacefully Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of Dianne Hardesty, and prior to that, Melissa Jo Giese.

Lawrence was born in Duryea, Pa. November 22nd, 1952, son of the late Stanley and Anna (Wnenta) Bonczek. He was a longtime resident of Naugatuck, and was a Supervisor at Carten- Fujikin Inc. in Cheshire where he invented and patented a valve. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck. He was a prolific social media digital content creator with thousands of followers, focusing on music, politics and Christian topics with his many friends across the globe. He was a poet and songwriter, guitar player and enjoyed gardening. In his final years in Tolland, he passed the time at Crystal Lake, enjoying Bob Dylan and Christian studies.

Lawrence is survived by his daughters Delanea Davis of Tolland and Danelle Luckenbaugh of Sykesville, Maryland, along with loving son in laws, nieces, nephews, grandsons, and grandpuppies,. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Bonczek and Gerard Bonczek.
