STATEMENT FROM BOARD CHAIR
“As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Palace Theater and a physician member of the Mayor’s Task Force on COVID-19, I speak for the whole Board when I say that the health and safety of everyone involved with the Palace is our highest priority. The COVID health and safety policy was written after a number of hours of discussion on what would be best for the patrons and staff. In these very difficult times, we ask that you work with us to ensure that the theater remains open and a vibrant place in the City of Waterbury. As we move forward in the coming months, the policy will be continually looked at and adjusted with safety and health as our number one priority.”
Peter J. Jacoby, MD, FACEP
The Palace will continue to update its policy based on requirements from the State of CT and the City of Waterbury. The public’s cooperation and continued support is appreciated as we all navigate this difficult situation.
