• Naugatuck Police Officer Promoted To Sergeant (patch.com) — Naugatuck residents are welcoming a familiar face into a leadership role as Officer Nick Lavoie is promoted to sergeant by Mayor Pete Hess. Lavoie, who joined the Naugatuck Police Department in 2016, has served in roles from school resource officer at Naugatuck High School to crisis intervention and peer support, bringing broad experience to his new rank.
   

• Fire Breaks Out At Multi-Family Home, 12 Displaced: Naugatuck FD (patch.com) — Naugatuck residents are recovering after a weekend fire on High Street displaced 12 people from a multi-family home and sent one person to the hospital. Firefighters contained the blaze to a second-floor apartment, but smoke and water damaged the entire building, with the Red Cross and neighboring departments stepping in to help.
