• Man Accused Of Forcefully Entering Naugatuck Home Arrested At Airport: Police (patch.com) — Police say a man forced his way into a Naugatuck home Saturday, fled when confronted by armed residents, and was later arrested at Tweed New Haven Airport while allegedly trying to leave. He was brought back to Naugatuck police headquarters, faces multiple burglary and disorderly conduct charges, and is being held on a combined $200,000 bond after a court appearance.
   

• Woodland football captain Colby Marsan 'in high spirits' despite a season-ending broken leg (thehour.com) — Naugatuck football fans saw rival Woodland lose key captains, including running back Colby Marsan, during Friday's tight 15-12 Greyhounds win. Marsan suffered a season-ending broken leg that will also sideline his wrestling and track seasons, while several Woodland starters were hurt, yet coaches praised both teams' toughness and highlighted Naugatuck's high-powered offense being held to just 15 points.
