Rep. Rebimbas' Message to Veterans

"On behalf of the 70th General Assembly District, I would like to extend our deep appreciation and a heartfelt thank you to our veterans."

(Stanley, Derek)

On Veterans Day we will honor and celebrate our retired military personnel and their families for their patriotism and sacrifice for the common good of our nation.

This sacred American holiday began as Armistice Day when at the 11th minute, on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Allies of World War I and Germany signed the agreement ending the Great War. The holiday was officially named Veterans Day in 1954.

I am grateful for the women and men in our community who have answered our country's call to service to defend the freedoms and values that define us as a people.

On behalf of the 70th General Assembly District, I would like to extend our deep appreciation and a heartfelt thank you to our veterans.

Sincerely,
State Representative Rosa C. Rebimbas

70th General Assembly District
Naugatuck
