Shoplifter Threatened To Injure Staff At Walmart: Naugatuck PD

Police are asking for help with identifying the suspect, who they said should be considered dangerous and shouldn't be approached.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man is accused of shoplifting and threatening to injure staff members at Walmart on Friday night in Naugatuck, according to police. Naugatuck police responded to Walmart around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 on the report of a shoplifting.

Police determined the suspect (pictured) entered the store and put items in his shopping cart, according to officials. The man tried to leave the store without paying and is accused of threatening to injure staff members when he was confronted, police said.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect, along with photos of two vehicles that are believed to be connected with the incident. The vehicles are described as a gray Acura with Connecticut license plate 368-ZEF and a red Dodge Charger with New Jersey license plate A60LLP.

“The suspect in this incident should be considered dangerous and should not be approached by the public,” police wrote in a news release.
