St. Vincent Ferrer Shares Procedures for Daily Mass Attendance

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PARISHIONERS

Regarding the Opening Churches for Public Worship

· In accordance with the new guidelines issued by Archbishop Blair, as of Monday, June 8, 2020, parishes can reopen for the public celebration of weekday Masses only, provided that no more than a total of fifty (50) socially distanced persons are present at a given Mass in keeping with the limitation currently set by the civil authorities.

· The dispensation from Sunday obligation has been extended though Sunday, September 6, 2020.
· IF YOU ARE SICK, OR IF YOU ARE ELDERLY AND HAVE A PRE-EXISTING HEALTH CONDITION, PLEASE STAY HOME. EACH PERSON MUST DETERMINE WHETHER HE/SHE SHOULD ATTEND MASS / RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION.

· No one will be admitted into the church or offices unless they are wearing a mask.

· If you plan to attend Mass, please call the office to sign up for the day you wish to attend at (203) 723-7497.

· Those attending weekday Masses are required to wear masks or face coverings and to maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet. Children under age 2 are not required to wear masks; the use of masks for those ages 2—5 is at the discretion of the parents. The pews will be marked in accordance with social distancing rules. Individuals are asked to provide hand sanitizer for themselves. Families will be permitted to be seated together.


· Reception of Holy Communion will be in the hand only.

· As there are no processions, baskets for donations will be located at the doors of the church.

· Everyone is asked to leave the church as soon as the Mass is ended. Parishioners are asked NOT to socialize before or after Mass.

· For those who desire, Confessions will be heard after the daily Mass.

· As of June 8th, Baptisms, Wedding Masses and Funeral Masses will resume in keeping with prescribed procedures and precautions.
