Teen Robbed in Wooded Area in Naugatuck: Police

Naugatuck police say a man held the teen down while another teen allegedly took money from his pockets.

Naugatuck police say on Sunday afternoon a juvenile was charged on an arrest warrant for a robbery that occurred on August 23.

According to police, the victim was hiking in a wooded area on Horton Hill Road. While the victim was walking through the woods, a juvenile approached him with another male, police said.

The male that was with the juvenile pinned the victim to the ground and the juvenile allegedly stole money from the victim’s pockets, police said.

Police said the juvenile is an acquaintance of the victim.

The juvenile, who is under the age of 17, is charged with second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny.
